Childrens Music
Children’s music is provided through the Christian education program at FUMC. The children participate in the music program during the Sunday School hour during the school year. Pre-kindergarteners enjoy singing the classic Sunday school songs, such as "Zaccheus" and "Jesus Loves Me." Sunday School children in kindergarten through fifth grade learn more contemporary Christian songs, many from the Vacation Bible School curriculum offered through Group Publishing, Inc. All children (pre-kindergarten through fifth grade) who participate in Sunday School are involved in the Children's Music program. Periodically throughout the year, the children sing the songs they have learned at the 10:00 a.m. church service.
For older children who would like to participate in music worship, please see the link to Providence on this website. Providence encourages singers and musicians in grades 6-12 to join their rotating music worship group.
Do you want to be involved in the Children’s Music program? We are looking for one or more Sunday School music volunteers to teach the children on Sunday mornings during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday School hour. Music is provided, and the choir room is available for music time. Please contact the church office if you are interested.
